Getting There

Starting from the Thun train station, head northeast towards the city center. Exit the station and follow the signs for the city center (Zentrum). Walk straight along Bahnhofstrasse for about 600 meters until you reach the main square, Rathausplatz. From there, take the street leading uphill, Kramgasse, which will take you past various shops and cafes. Continue walking until you reach the end of Kramgasse, then take a right onto Oberhofenstrasse. Follow this road for approximately 900 meters until you reach the junction with Wartboden. Turn left onto Wartboden, and after about 300 meters, you will see signs leading to Grüsisbergwald. The entrance to the forest area is marked, and you can enjoy hiking trails and beautiful views of Thun and Lake Thun.

From the Thun train station, take bus number 21 or 22 towards 'Blumenstein'. Make sure to check the bus schedule as they run frequently. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Wartboden' stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 300 meters in the direction of the bus route, and you will find the entrance to Grüsisbergwald. Follow the signs for hiking trails which will lead you through the forest with stunning views of the surrounding area.
