Car
If you are driving, head towards Sonogno from your location in Ticino. Use the A2 highway and take the exit towards Locarno. Follow the signs to Verzasca Valley (Valle Verzasca). Continue on the main road (Route 65) until you reach the village of Sonogno, which is approximately 30 km from Locarno. Look for signs directing you to Cascata Verzasca, and park in the designated parking areas near the waterfall.
Public Transportation
To reach Cascata Verzasca by public transportation, take a train to Locarno from your starting location. From Locarno, transfer to a PostBus (line 321) towards Sonogno. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Sonogno' stop. From there, it is a short walk (around 15-20 minutes) to the Cascata Verzasca. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the waterfall. Keep in mind that the bus service may have limited schedules, so check the timetable in advance.
Walking
Once you arrive in Sonogno, you can access the waterfall on foot. Follow the easy hiking path that leads to Cascata Verzasca. The trail is well-marked and offers stunning views of the valley, taking approximately 20-30 minutes to reach the waterfall. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water.
