Car
From the center of Uri, head southeast on the A2 motorway towards Göschenen. Take exit 39-Göschenen and follow signs for the Furka Pass (Furka Passstraße). Continue along the Furka Passstraße for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the village of Obergoms. The Furka base tunnel is located at 3999 Obergoms VS, which is well-signposted. Note that parking is available near the tunnel entrance, but may incur a small fee.

Public Transportation
Start at the Uri train station (Bahnhof Uri). Take a train from Uri to Göschenen, which operates regularly. From Göschenen, transfer to the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB) train towards Brig. Get off at the Obergoms station. From there, you will need to walk approximately 15 minutes to reach the Furka base tunnel. Be sure to check the MGB schedule in advance to coordinate your arrival times.

Travel from Uri to Göschenen by train. Upon arrival, take the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn train towards Obergoms. Once at Obergoms, you may need to use a local shuttle service to reach the Furka base tunnel, as it's approximately a 5-minute drive away. Shuttle services may vary, and it is advisable to book in advance or check for availability on-site.
