Car
From Uri, take the A2 motorway towards Airolo. Follow the A2 for approximately 20 kilometers. Take the exit for Airolo/Passo San Gottardo. After exiting, follow the signs towards Passo del S. Gottardo, which is located at the top of the pass. The drive will take around 25-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Note that there may be tolls on the motorway, so keep some Swiss francs handy.

Start by taking a regional train from Uri to Airolo. Trains run regularly and the journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Airolo station, you can take the PostBus (Bus line 121) towards Passo San Gottardo. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may vary. The bus fare will typically cost around 5-10 CHF.
