From Zermatt, take the train to the nearest station, which is in Aosta. You can catch a train from Zermatt to Brig and then transfer to a train heading to Aosta. Once you arrive in Aosta, exit the train station and head to the bus terminal located nearby.

From Aosta, take the local bus towards Bard. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Look for the bus line that says 'Bard' and make sure to check the schedule for the latest departure times. The bus will stop directly outside the Fort of Bard.

Walking
After getting off the bus in Bard, you can walk to the Fort of Bard, which is located just a short distance away. Head towards Via Vittorio Emanuele II. The Fort will be visible as you approach, and you can follow the signs leading you to the entrance.
