From the center of Zermatt, start at the Zermatt train station. Head southeast on Bahnhofstrasse towards the Matterhorn Museum. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, where you'll see signs for the Matterhorn Glacier Trail. Follow the signs uphill. The trail will take you through beautiful alpine scenery. After approximately 45 minutes of walking, you will reach the Matterhorn Glacier Trail, which leads directly towards Gn. Matterhorn. Keep following the trail until you arrive at the base of Gn. Matterhorn.

Cable Car
From Zermatt, make your way to the cable car station at the Klein Matterhorn. You can walk or take the electric bus to the station. Purchase a ticket for the cable car.
