Getting there

Walking

From the Zermatt train station, exit and head towards the main street (Bahnhofstrasse). Walk straight along Bahnhofstrasse, which will lead you through the charming village of Zermatt. Continue walking until you reach the end of the street; you will see the signs for the Zermatt Ski Resort. Follow the signs towards the Gornergrat train station. The walk will take approximately 20 minutes.

Public Transport (Train)

From the Zermatt train station, take the Gornergrat Bahn (Gornergrat Railway) directly to the Zermatt Ski Resort. The train station is located adjacent to the main station. The journey offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Gornergrat station, you will be at the heart of the ski resort.

Public Transport (Bus)

From the Zermatt train station, head to the bus stop located just outside the station. Look for the bus that goes to the Zermatt Ski Resort. Note that the bus service may be limited, so check the schedule in advance. The bus ride will take about 15 minutes, dropping you off near the ski lifts.
