Head to the main road in Vahdat where shared taxis congregate. Ask for a ride to Nurek; they usually leave when full. The cost is usually around 10-15 TJS per person. The trip should take about 30-40 minutes. Tell the driver you want to go to the Nurek Dam, and they will drop you off at the nearest point to the dam where you can walk to the entrance.
