    If you are in the city center of Dar es Salaam, start at the Julius Nyerere International Conference Centre. From there, head southeast towards Sokoine Drive. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the beach. You will see the Indian Ocean as you approach. The beach area is public, and you can enjoy the beautiful views of the ocean.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in the city center. Head towards Kivukoni Front along Sokoine Drive. Keep cycling along the coast for approximately 2 kilometers. You will arrive at a section of the beach where you can access the Indian Ocean. Make sure to follow the coastline for the best views.

  • Boda Boda (Motorcycle Taxi)

    Find a Boda Boda stand near your location. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Indian Ocean beach. They are familiar with the location and can take you directly there. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.

  • Public Transport (Dala Dala)

    Locate a Dala Dala stop, typically found near busy areas or markets. Take a Dala Dala heading towards Posta or Kivukoni. Once you reach the Kivukoni area, disembark and walk towards the beach, which is only a short distance away. Look for signs pointing to the beach, and you’ll find the Indian Ocean waiting for you.
