Bicycle
If you are near the city center of Dar es Salaam, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops. Start heading east toward the coast and follow the signs for the ferry terminal. Once you reach the ferry terminal, buy a ticket to Zanzibar. After approximately 2 hours on the ferry, you will arrive in Zanzibar. From the ferry terminal in Zanzibar, you can take a local taxi or a dala-dala (shared minibus) to Mzambarauni. Inform the driver that you want to go to Mtende Beach.
Public Bus
From the city center, head to the central bus terminal known as Ubungo Bus Terminal. Look for buses that are heading to Dar es Salaam ferry terminal. Once you reach the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for a ferry to Zanzibar. After arriving in Zanzibar, take a taxi or a dala-dala to Mzambarauni, telling the driver you want to go to Mtende Beach. The journey will be about 30-40 minutes from the ferry terminal.

If you are enjoying a scenic walk, start from the city center and walk towards the waterfront. It may take about 30-45 minutes to reach the ferry terminal. Once at the terminal, buy your ferry ticket to Zanzibar. The ferry ride will take around 2 hours. Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you can either walk or take a taxi to Mzambarauni. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes.

If you prefer a more direct option, you can take a taxi from your hotel or accommodation in Dar es Salaam to the ferry terminal. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand. Once you reach the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket to Zanzibar. After the ferry ride, take a local taxi or dala-dala to Mzambarauni, specifying Mtende Beach as your destination.
