Getting There

    If you are driving, start from Dar es Salaam. Head west on Nyerere Road and continue onto the Morogoro Road (A7) for about 30 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Kisarawe. Once you reach Kisarawe, continue driving straight until you see the signs for Puguhills Forest Reserve. The reserve is located at Kisarawe 28001. Make sure to have a map or GPS device handy as the route can be tricky, and some sections may be poorly marked.

    To reach Puguhills Forest Reserve via public transportation, take a daladala (minibus) from Dar es Salaam to Kisarawe. The daladala will drop you off in the center of Kisarawe. From there, you can either hire a taxi to take you directly to Puguhills Forest Reserve or look for local motorbike taxis (boda-boda) which are a cheaper option.
