Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Iringa, start at the Iringa bus station (Mbezi Bus Station). Head southeast on Uhuru Street towards Sokoine Road, continue straight until you reach the junction with Station Road. Turn left onto Station Road and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass various local shops and the bustling market area. After 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a major intersection. Continue straight onto Unnamed Road for approximately 3 kilometers. You will see signs for Ugele Mountains Park on your right. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at the entrance of Ugele Mountains Park.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Iringa. Start at the main square (Sokoine Square) and head east on Mkwawa Road. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Station Road. Continue biking for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the major intersection with Unnamed Road. Turn right onto Unnamed Road and cycle for about 3 kilometers. Keep an eye out for directional signs to Ugele Mountains Park. You will see the entrance on your left.

  • Public Transport

    From Iringa city center, take a daladala (shared minibus) heading towards Ugele area. Board at the main bus station and inform the driver that you are going to Ugele Mountains Park. The ride should take about 30 minutes. Request the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to the park entrance. After getting off, walk along Unnamed Road for about 500 meters, following the signs for Ugele Mountains Park. The entrance will be on your right.
