Getting There

  • Car Rental

    If you are renting a car in the Kilimanjaro Region, head towards Moshi town. From Moshi, take the A23 road heading north towards Arusha. After approximately 30 minutes, take a right onto Boma Road. Continue along Boma Road for about 10 minutes until you reach Upinde Street. Turn left onto Upinde Street, and you will find TANZANIA SAFARI RADAR located at the end of the street. Make sure to have a GPS or map application as mobile signal can vary.

  • Public Transportation (Matatu/Shared Taxi)

    From Moshi, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) heading towards Arusha. Get off at the Boma Road junction. From there, you can either walk about 10 minutes along Boma Road or hire a local taxi to take you to Upinde Street. The taxi fare should be around 5,000 TZS. Ensure to confirm with the driver that you are headed to Upinde Street.

  • Taxi Service

    If you prefer a direct route, you can hire a taxi from any location in Kilimanjaro Region, such as Moshi or Arusha. Provide the driver with the address: Upinde Street, Boma Road, 0000. The fare from Moshi to the location should be approximately 15,000 - 25,000 TZS, depending on negotiation and time of travel. Always ask the driver for an estimated fare before starting your journey.

    If you are within walking distance in the nearby neighborhoods of Moshi, you can simply head towards Boma Road and look for Upinde Street. As you walk along Boma Road, look for signage leading to TANZANIA SAFARI RADAR. It is advisable to ask locals for directions as they can be very helpful.
