Walking
From the center of Mbeya, head towards the Mbeya Bus Station. Once you reach the station, look for any signs indicating the direction to the Mbeya Range Forest Reserve. Walk along the main road heading south-east towards the Mbeya Mountains. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road. Take the left path, which leads towards the forest area. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the Mbeya Range Forest Reserve, which is located at coordinates 4C8Q+8M9.
Bicycle
Starting from Mbeya Town, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Cycle towards the Mbeya Bus Station and continue on the main road south-east for about 1.5 kilometers. At the fork in the road, take the left path towards the mountains. Keep pedaling for about 2 kilometers, and you will find the entrance to the Mbeya Range Forest Reserve on your left at coordinates 4C8Q+8M9.
Public Transport (Dalla Dalla)
Board a Dalla Dalla (local minibus) from Mbeya Town that is heading towards Kiwira or the Mbeya Mountains. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Mbeya Range Forest Reserve. The Dalla Dalla will drop you off at the closest point to the reserve, which is approximately 3 kilometers away. From there, you can either walk or hire a local guide to take you to the entrance, located at coordinates 4C8Q+8M9.
