Getting There

Bicycle
If you're in Moshi, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Start from the center of Moshi and head southeast on Uhuru Street. Continue until you reach the junction with Sokoine Road, where you'll turn left. Follow Sokoine Road until you reach the end, then turn right onto Mweka Road. Keep cycling straight for about 10 kilometers until you see signs for Machame Gate on your right. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at Barangata.

If you prefer to walk, start from the central market of Moshi. Head southeast on Uhuru Street and continue until you reach Sokoine Road. Turn left onto Sokoine Road and proceed straight for approximately 5 kilometers. When you reach the end of Sokoine Road, turn right onto Mweka Road. Continue walking for about 10 kilometers. Watch for local signs indicating Machame Gate on your right, which will lead you to Barangata.
