Getting There

• Private Car

  If you're driving a private car, start from Moshi town. Head southeast on B1 towards Marangu. Continue on B1 for about 30 km until you reach Marangu village. Once in Marangu, look for signs directing you to Marangu Falls Kinukamori. The falls are located approximately 5 km from the village center, accessible via a dirt road. Be prepared for some rough terrain; a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Parking is available near the falls.

• Public Transportation (Daladala)

  To reach Marangu Falls Kinukamori using public transport, take a daladala (minibus) from Moshi to Marangu. The fare is usually around 1,000 TZS. Once you arrive in Marangu, you can either walk to the falls (approximately a 1-hour hike) or hire a local taxi for about 10,000-20,000 TZS to take you directly to the falls entrance. Ensure to ask the driver to drop you off at the Marangu Falls entrance, which is well-marked.

• Guided Tour

  Consider booking a guided tour that includes transportation to Marangu Falls. Many local tour operators in Moshi offer packages that include round-trip transport, a guide, and sometimes a picnic lunch. Prices vary but expect to pay around 50,000-100,000 TZS per person depending on the inclusions. • Walking from Marangu Village

  If you're already in Marangu village, and prefer to walk, head east from the village center. Follow the main road leading towards the hills and look for signs indicating the trail to Marangu Falls. The hike is about 5 km and takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. The path is well-trodden but can be steep in sections, so wear appropriate footwear. This option allows you to enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding area.
