Walking
From the center of Stone Town, start at the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe). Head northeast on Gizenga Street towards the seafront. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the intersection with Mizingani Road. Continue straight onto Mizingani Road, enjoying the view of the ocean on your left. After approximately 800 meters, you will come to the roundabout at the end of Mizingani Road. Take the first exit onto Baghani Street, and walk straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by several local shops and cafes. Keep walking until you reach the junction with Maruhubi Road. Turn left onto Maruhubi Road, and after a short walk of about 300 meters, you will see the entrance to Maruhubi Historical Sites on your right.

Alternatively, if you are near the House of Wonders, start from there. Walk northwest on Mzungu Street towards the seafront. After about 5 minutes, turn right onto Mizingani Road. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Baghani Street and walk straight for about 1 kilometer. At the junction with Maruhubi Road, turn left. After about 300 meters, the Maruhubi Historical Sites will be on your right.

After approximately 1.2 kilometers, you will come to the roundabout. Take the first exit onto Baghani Street and walk straight for about 1 kilometer. Turn left onto Maruhubi Road, and after 300 meters, you will find the entrance to Maruhubi Historical Sites on your right.
