Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from Forodhani Gardens, head towards the main road (Mizingani Road). As you walk along the waterfront, you will see the large stone structure of the Old Fort directly ahead. It's a short 5-10 minute walk, and you can't miss it due to its size and historical significance.

    From the Darajani Market, exit the market and turn right onto Mizingani Road. Continue straight for about 10 minutes. Keep an eye out for the Old Fort on your left-hand side as you approach the waterfront.

    Starting from the House of Wonders (Beit-el-Ajaib), exit and turn left. Walk along the coastline on Mizingani Road for approximately 5 minutes. The Old Fort will be visible ahead, just past the gardens.

    If you are near the Anglican Cathedral, head south towards the coast. Once you reach the waterfront, turn right onto Mizingani Road. Walk for about 10 minutes, and you will reach the Old Fort on your right.
