From Forodhani Gardens, head towards the main road, which is Mizingani Road. As you walk along Mizingani Road, you will pass various shops and local vendors. Continue walking straight until you reach a junction with the main road heading towards the city center. Turn left onto Jamhuri Street.

Continue on Jamhuri Street for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by the Old Fort on your left and then the Palace Museum on your right. Keep going straight until you reach the busy intersection at Benjamin Mkapa Road.

At the intersection, cross over to Benjamin Mkapa Road and head east for approximately 500 meters. You will see signs for Jamhuri Gardens on your right. The entrance to the gardens will be clearly marked.

Bicycle or Scooter Rental
If you prefer a faster option, consider renting a bicycle or scooter from one of the local rental shops near Forodhani Gardens. Once you have your rental, follow the same route as described above, but you can ride along the roads to reach Jamhuri Gardens more quickly.

For a budget-friendly option, you can catch a local Dalla Dalla from the nearby bus stop in Forodhani Gardens. Look for a Dalla Dalla heading towards Ng'ambo. The fare is very affordable (usually around TZS 300-500). Get off at the stop closest to Benjamin Mkapa Road and walk the remaining distance to Jamhuri Gardens.
