If you are driving, start from Mwanza city center. Head southeast on Nyerere Rd/A7 towards the direction of the Mwanza Port. Continue on the A7 for approximately 10 kilometers, following the signs towards Nyamagana. Once you reach the Nyamagana area, take a left onto Bismarck St, which will lead you toward the waterfront. Bismarck Rock is located at coordinates -2.5187543, 32.8947176, so you can use a GPS device or map application to guide you the final distance to the rock. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Bismarck Rock via public transportation, take a daladala (local minibus) from Mwanza city center to Nyamagana. The fare is typically around 1,000 TZS. Once you arrive at the Nyamagana bus stop, ask locals for directions to Bismarck Rock, as it is a well-known landmark. You may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer, or take a motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) for a small fee of about 2,000 TZS to get closer to the rock.
Walking
If you prefer to walk after reaching Nyamagana, it's about a 1-kilometer walk to Bismarck Rock. Head towards the waterfront, and you will see signs directing you to the rock. The walk is scenic and provides a good view of the surrounding area.
