If you are traveling by car, start from Stone Town, the main city of Zanzibar. Head north on the main road towards Nungwi. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Nungwi, look for Nungwi Rd, which will lead you to Tazari Chameleon Reserve, located along this road. The reserve is well-signposted, so follow the signs as you approach. Parking is available on-site.

Public Transportation (Dalla Dalla)
To reach Tazari Chameleon Reserve using public transportation, catch a Dalla Dalla (shared minibus) from Stone Town to Nungwi. The fare is usually around 2,000 TZS (Tanzanian Shillings). The journey takes about 1.5 hours, depending on stops. Once you arrive in Nungwi, ask the driver or locals for directions to Nungwi Rd. From there, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) or take a motorbike taxi (Bodaboda) to the reserve for a small fee of about 2,000-3,000 TZS.

For a more convenient option, you can hire a taxi from anywhere in Zanzibar to take you directly to Tazari Chameleon Reserve. The fare will vary depending on your starting location but expect to pay around 30,000 to 50,000 TZS from Stone Town. The drive will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
