After about 40 minutes, you will reach the junction to the town of Nungwi. Continue past Nungwi, and you will find a sign for the Tumbatu Island boat dock. Park your car at the designated parking area and proceed to the boat dock.

    From Zanzibar Town, take a Dala Dala (shared minibus) heading to Nungwi. The fare is around 2,000 TZS (Tanzanian Shillings). The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Nungwi, ask the driver or locals for directions to the Tumbatu Island boat dock. Walk to the dock and pay for a boat ride to Tumbatu Island. The boat fare is typically around 10,000 TZS per person.
