Start at the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe) in Stone Town. Head east on Kelele Square towards Mkunazini Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jamatini Street. Turn left onto Jamatini Street. Walk straight until you reach the main road (Mizingani Rd). Cross the road carefully, and take a right to follow Mizingani Rd south. Walk until you reach the ferry terminal. Here, you can take a daladala (local minibus) heading to Paje. The daladala will drop you off near Paje Beach. From there, walk north along the beach and follow signs to MAALUM, which is located further up the coast.

Begin your journey at the Darajani Market in Stone Town. Look for a daladala (local minibus) that has 'Paje' written on it. Board the daladala and pay the fare (typically around 1000 TZS). The ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Paje, disembark at the main stop. From there, walk towards the beach and head north along the shoreline. You will see signs pointing to MAALUM, which is situated along the coast.
