From the center of Zanzibar City, head towards the main road leading to the east coast. You can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops around Stone Town. Follow the road signs towards Paje, which is approximately 40 kilometers away. The ride will take you along the scenic coastline, passing through small villages and lush landscapes. Make sure to take breaks as needed, and keep following the signs for Paje until you reach your destination.

Dala Dala (Local Minibus)
Head to the Dala Dala station in Zanzibar City, which is located near the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe). Board a Dala Dala heading to Paje. The fare is very affordable. The journey will take around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Just inform the conductor or driver that you want to get off in Paje. Once you arrive, you will find signs directing you to local attractions and amenities.

If you are near the beach in Paje, you can walk to MAALUM by heading east from the main road. Follow the signs towards the beach area, and once you reach the shoreline, walk along the beach until you see the MAALUM establishment. It's a pleasant walk, especially during sunrise or sunset, providing beautiful views of the Indian Ocean.

You can hail a taxi from anywhere in Zanzibar City. Provide the driver with the destination 'Paje'. Taxis are widely available, and the ride takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic.
