Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Stone Town, take the B1 road heading southeast towards Paje. Follow the signs for Paje and continue for about 45 minutes to an hour (approximately 50 km). Once you arrive in Paje, look for signs directing you to Mwani Zanzibar, located at Box 1011. The center is situated near the beach, so you may need to park in a nearby area and walk the last few minutes to reach the entrance.

  • Public Transportation - Dalla Dalla

    From Stone Town, you can take a Dalla Dalla (local minibus) to Paje. Head to the bus terminal in Stone Town, where you can find Dalla Dalla heading towards Paje. The fare is usually around 2,000 TZS (Tanzanian Shillings) per person. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Paje, ask the conductor to drop you off near the beach area, from where you can walk to Mwani Zanzibar, located at Box 1011.

  • Taxi

    For a more direct and comfortable option, you can book a taxi from any location in Zanzibar Island. Taxis are readily available in Stone Town and other areas. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; a taxi ride to Mwani Zanzibar from Stone Town should cost around 30,000 to 50,000 TZS, depending on your negotiation skills and the time of day. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Upon arrival in Paje, instruct the driver to take you to Box 1011.
