    From Cades Cove, start by heading northeast on the Cades Cove Loop Road. Continue on this road for approximately 12 miles until you reach the T-intersection with Laurel Creek Road. Turn right onto Laurel Creek Road, which will lead you towards the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Continue on Laurel Creek Road for about 7 miles, and it will merge into Clingmans Dome Road. Follow Clingmans Dome Road for about 7 miles until you reach the Clingmans Dome Trailhead parking area. Note that there is a parking fee of $5 per vehicle, and the parking area may fill quickly during peak seasons.
