Getting There

• Walking

  If you're in the heart of Downtown Chattanooga, the Creative Discovery Museum is just a short walk away. Head towards the Tennessee Aquarium located at 1 Aquarium Way. From there, walk northeast on Aquarium Way until you reach 3rd Street. Turn left on 3rd Street and continue until you reach Chestnut Street. Turn right on Chestnut Street, and you will find the Creative Discovery Museum at 321 Chestnut St. The total walking distance is approximately 0.5 miles and should take about 10-15 minutes.

• Public Transit

  To use public transit, head to the nearest Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA) bus stop. You can take the Route 1 bus towards the 'North Chattanooga' line. Board the bus at any nearby stop on Market Street and ride until you reach the 4th St & Chestnut St stop. From there, walk south on Chestnut Street for about two blocks, and the Creative Discovery Museum will be on your left at 321 Chestnut St. The bus fare is $1.50, and it operates every 30 minutes.

• Biking

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike share stations in Downtown Chattanooga. The nearest station is located at the Chattanooga Riverwalk. Once you have a bike, head towards the Riverwalk and follow the bike path along the Tennessee River. When you reach the intersection with Chestnut Street, turn left and continue biking until you arrive at the Creative Discovery Museum at 321 Chestnut St. Make sure to check the bike rental fees, which typically start at $5 for a single ride.
