Getting There

• Car

  From the main entrance of Fall Creek Falls State Park, head northeast on TN-283 N toward TN-30 E. Follow TN-30 E for approximately 3 miles until you reach US-41. Turn right onto US-41 S and continue for about 10 miles. Merge onto I-40 E and continue for about 20 miles. Take exit 407 for TN-66 N toward Sevierville. Merge onto TN-66 N and follow signs for Gatlinburg. Once in Gatlinburg, follow the signs to Old State Hwy 73 Scenic, where you'll find The Sinks located just off this highway. Please note that parking may be limited, especially during peak tourist seasons.

• Public Transportation

  If you are relying on public transportation, start by taking a local bus service from Fall Creek Falls State Park to the nearest town with bus connections (Spencer, TN). From Spencer, you can take a Greyhound or similar bus service to Gatlinburg. Once you arrive in Gatlinburg, use local shuttle services or taxis to reach Old State Hwy 73 Scenic, where The Sinks is located. Be sure to check bus schedules in advance as services may be limited and could have varying costs.

• Bicycle

  For those who enjoy biking, you can cycle from Fall Creek Falls State Park to The Sinks. Begin your ride heading towards TN-30 E, then take US-41 S. Follow the same route as the car directions, but be aware that this is a long ride (approximately 25 miles) and may take several hours depending on your cycling speed. Ensure you have a map or GPS device as the route can be tricky in parts.

• Hiking

  If you're up for an adventure, you can hike part of the way to The Sinks. Start at the Fall Creek Falls Hiking Trail and head towards the adjacent trails that connect to the main routes towards Gatlinburg. This option is highly strenuous and should only be attempted by experienced hikers. Bring plenty of water and snacks as the journey can take all day.
