From the center of Gatlinburg, head southeast on the Parkway (U.S. 441) towards the intersection with East Parkway. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the traffic light at East Parkway. Turn right onto East Parkway and continue for about 7 miles. You will pass several shops and attractions on your left and right. After approximately 7 miles, look for the signs indicating Townsend. Continue on East Lamar Alexander Parkway (TN-73) for about 3 miles until you reach the Little River Railroad/Lumber Museum on your right at 7747 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy.

Public Transportation
Start at the Gatlinburg Welcome Center. Take the Gatlinburg Trolley (Blue Route) towards the Arts and Crafts Community. Get off at the stop at the intersection of East Parkway and TN-73. From there, you will need to walk about 1.5 miles along East Lamar Alexander Parkway to reach the Little River Railroad/Lumber Museum located at 7747 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy. Be sure to follow the pedestrian paths along the road for safety.
