Walking
From the center of Gatlinburg, head east on Parkway toward US-441 S. Continue straight for approximately 0.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants on your left and right. Look for the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park on your left. Once you reach the park entrance, turn left into the park. Continue on the main road, following the signs for Rainbow Falls Trail. The trailhead is located about 1.5 miles from the park entrance. Look for the parking area on your right, where you can start your hike.

If you prefer not to walk, you can take the Gatlinburg Trolley. Board the trolley at one of the designated stops in Gatlinburg that has a route to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Make sure to check the trolley schedule for the nearest stop and the timing. The trolley will drop you off near the park entrance. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles to the Rainbow Falls Trailhead as described above.
