Head south on S Gay St toward W Main St, then take a left onto W Main St. Follow W Main St, which becomes Henley St, and continue for about 1.5 miles. Merge onto I-40 E via the ramp to Asheville. Take exit 388A to merge onto US-441 S / S Gay St toward Alcoa. Continue on US-441 S for about 5 miles, then take the exit toward McClure Ln. Turn left onto McClure Ln, and you will see Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area on your right. There is no entry fee required.

    For public transportation, start by taking the Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) bus. Board the Route 12 bus from downtown Knoxville, which travels south towards the Airport. Get off at the stop closest to US-441 S. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach McClure Ln. Follow the directions as if you were driving: head south on US-441 S, turn left onto McClure Ln, and the Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area will be on your right. Be aware that the bus fare is around $1.00 per ride.
