If you're driving from Gatlinburg, TN, take US-441 South (Newfound Gap Road) towards the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Follow the road for about 15 miles until you reach the Clingmans Dome Parking Area. The road is well-marked, and you'll see signs indicating your approach to Clingmans Dome. Keep in mind that the road may be winding and steep, so drive carefully. Once you arrive at the parking area, you'll need to park your vehicle and walk the remaining distance to the observation tower.

From Pigeon Forge, TN, head east on US-321 N towards Gatlinburg. Once in Gatlinburg, follow the same route as above by taking US-441 South towards the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Continue for about 15 miles until you reach the Clingmans Dome Parking Area. Make sure to check for parking availability, as it can fill up quickly during peak tourist seasons.
