Getting There

Walking
If you are staying in Pigeon Forge, you can easily walk to Rainbow Falls Trail. Start at the Pigeon Forge Welcome Center located on the Parkway (US-441). Head northeast on the Parkway towards Wears Valley Road (TN-321). Continue walking for about 2 miles until you reach the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The trailhead for Rainbow Falls will be located on the right side of the road. Look for signage indicating the trail.

Bicycle
For a more adventurous option, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Pigeon Forge. Start at the Parkway, and ride towards Wears Valley Road (TN-321). Follow the same route as you would when walking, but on a bicycle. The ride is approximately 2 miles. Keep an eye out for the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where you will find the Rainbow Falls Trailhead on your right.

Public Transit
While Pigeon Forge does not have extensive public transit, you can use the trolley service available in the area. Board the Pigeon Forge Trolley at any of the trolley stops along the Parkway. Take the trolley heading towards Wears Valley. Request to get off at the stop closest to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park entrance. From there, it is a short walk (less than a quarter mile) to the Rainbow Falls Trailhead on your right.
