If you're driving from anywhere in Central Texas, start by getting on US-183 S or I-35 S depending on your starting point. Follow signs for Austin. Once in Austin, take the exit for 15th St (from I-35) or Cesar Chavez St (from US-183). Head west on 15th St until you reach the intersection with Sandra Muraida Way. Turn left onto Sandra Muraida Way, and you'll find Sand Beach Park at 111 Sandra Muraida Way. Parking is available nearby, but there may be fees depending on the time of day.
Public Transportation
To reach Sand Beach Park using public transportation, locate a bus stop that services Austin Public Transit. The MetroBus routes 3, 4, and 30 have stops near downtown Austin. Board any of these routes and get off at the 15th St & Lamar Stop. From there, walk west on 15th St and turn left onto Sandra Muraida Way. Walk straight for about a quarter of a mile, and you will arrive at Sand Beach Park. Ensure to check the bus schedule online as there may be fares for the trip.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, Austin has a network of bike lanes and trails. From downtown Austin, you can take the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail that runs along Lady Bird Lake.
