After merging onto I-45 N, continue for about 30 miles. Take exit 47A to merge onto US-75 N toward Dallas. Follow the signs for I-30 W and merge onto I-30 W. Take exit 47B toward S Harwood St. Continue straight onto Harwood St, then turn left onto E 8th St. The Tenth Street Historic District Freedmans Town Texas State Historical Marker will be located on your right at 1216 E 8th St, Dallas, TX 75203. Make sure to check for parking options nearby, which may have a fee depending on the location.

Upon arrival at the Dallas bus station, use the DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) system. Take the DART rail Green Line from the West End Station towards the Fair Park Station. Transfer at the Fair Park Station to the DART bus route 7. Get off at the stop closest to E 8th St. Walk east on E 8th St, and you will find the Tenth Street Historic District Freedmans Town Texas State Historical Marker at 1216 E 8th St, Dallas, TX 75203.
