Walking
If you're near the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, head east on Seawall Blvd towards 29th St. Continue walking along the Seawall, enjoying the ocean view. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach 29th St. Turn left onto 29th St and walk for 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with Avenue R. Continue straight for another 0.3 miles until you reach the Galveston Welcome Tower located at 29.2909033, -94.8768347.
Public Transit
Start at the Galveston Island Transit Terminal located at 25th St and Postoffice St. Take the Route 1 bus towards the Seawall. Get off at the stop at 29th St and Seawall Blvd. From there, walk east on Seawall Blvd toward 29th St. Continue walking for about 0.3 miles, then turn left onto 29th St. Walk straight until you reach the Galveston Welcome Tower.
Biking
If you have access to a bike, start from the Strand Historic District. Head south on 25th St towards Seawall Blvd. Turn right onto Seawall Blvd and bike east for about 1.5 miles. When you reach 29th St, turn left and bike for another 0.2 miles. The Galveston Welcome Tower will be on your right.
