If you are in Downtown Houston, you can easily walk to the United States Custom House located at 701 San Jacinto St. Start at the intersection of Main St and Texas Ave. Head north on Main St for about 2 blocks until you reach Jefferson St. Turn left onto Jefferson St and walk for 1 block until you reach San Jacinto St. Turn right on San Jacinto St, and the Custom House will be on your left after a short walk.

Public Transit - Metro Bus
You can take the Metro Bus to reach the United States Custom House. Locate the nearest bus stop for the Metro Bus route 40 (which travels along Main St). Board the bus and ride towards the Northwest Transit Center. Get off at the stop at San Jacinto St. From there, walk south on San Jacinto St for about 2 blocks, and you will reach the Custom House at 701 San Jacinto St. A one-way fare for the Metro Bus is $1.25.

Public Transit - Light Rail
You can take the METRORail Light Rail from one of the nearby stations in Downtown Houston. If you are near the Main Street Square Station, board the Red Line towards the Fannin South Station. Get off at the next stop, which is the Central Station. From there, walk east along Texas Ave for about 4 blocks until you reach San Jacinto St. Turn right onto San Jacinto St, and the Custom House will be on your left. A single ride on the METRORail costs $1.25.
