Public Transit
If you are starting from downtown Houston, walk to the Main Street/Metro Rail station. Take the Metro Light Rail Red Line towards the Northline. Get off at the 'Wheeler' station. From there, transfer to the 40 bus route towards 'Lakeside Estates.' Ride the bus until you reach the 9th Street stop. Walk east on 9th Street for about five blocks, and you will arrive at Countryman House located at 402 E 9th St.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the Houston BCycle stations located throughout the city. Starting from the city center, head northwest towards Allen Parkway. Continue on Allen Parkway until you reach Heights Boulevard. Turn left onto Heights Boulevard and then right onto 9th Street. Countryman House will be on your left at 402 E 9th St after cycling for about 20 minutes.
Walking
If you are already in the Greater Heights area, you can easily walk to Countryman House. Start from the corner of Heights Boulevard and 11th Street. Head east on 11th Street until you reach Yale Street. Turn right and walk south until you reach 9th Street. Turn left onto 9th Street, and you will find Countryman House at 402 E 9th St, just a few blocks down on your right.
