Getting There

• Public Transit - Metro Bus

  To get to the United States Custom House at 701 San Jacinto St, Houston, TX 77002 via public transit, locate the nearest Metro Bus stop. Depending on your starting location, you might take Metro Bus Route 40 or 50, both of which have stops in Downtown Houston. If you are near Main Street, you can board a bus heading towards the Downtown Transit Center. Once you arrive at the Downtown Transit Center, look for signs pointing to the San Jacinto Street exit. From the Transit Center, walk south on San Jacinto St for about 3 blocks until you reach the Custom House, which will be on your left.

• Public Transit - Metro Rail

  If you're near a Metro Rail station, hop on the Red Line towards the Fannin South station. Disembark at the Main Street Square station. From there, exit the station and head east on Main Street for about 2 blocks until you reach San Jacinto Street. Turn left onto San Jacinto Street and walk for another 2 blocks; the United States Custom House will be on your right at 701 San Jacinto St.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Downtown area, you can walk to the United States Custom House. Start at any central point, like Market Square Park. Head south on Travis Street until you reach Rusk Street, then turn left. Walk towards San Jacinto Street and turn right. Continue walking south on San Jacinto for about 4 blocks until you reach 701 San Jacinto St, where the Custom House is located.

• Bike Sharing

  If you're interested in biking, utilize Houston's bike-sharing program. Locate the nearest bike dock and rent a bike. Set your destination to 701 San Jacinto St. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on your starting point. Follow bike lanes towards Downtown Houston, ensuring to stay on main streets and adhere to traffic signals. Once you arrive, dock the bike at the closest bike station available near the Custom House.
