    From the center of North Overton, head west on 19th Street towards University Avenue. Continue walking straight for about half a mile until you reach the intersection with I-27. At this point, turn right onto the sidewalk that follows I-27. The Site of Old Lubbock Historical Marker is located just off the interstate. Walk for about another quarter-mile, and you will see the marker on your left side, easily identifiable by its historical sign.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start at the North Overton Community Park. Head south on University Avenue, then take a left onto 19th Street. Continue west until you reach I-27. There is a bike lane along University Avenue and 19th Street, making for a safe ride. Once you reach I-27, follow the path along the interstate to the marker, which will be about a mile from the park. The marker will be on your left side.

Be sure to have a few quarters for the bus fare, as it generally costs around $1.00 per ride.
