Getting There

    If you're in the Old City of Chiang Mai, head south towards Wua Lai Road. Start at Tha Phae Gate, one of the most famous landmarks in the Old City. From Tha Phae Gate, walk down Ratchadamnoen Road until you reach the intersection with Wua Lai Road. Turn left onto Wua Lai Road. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the Wua Lai Walking Street, which starts every Saturday evening from 6 PM to 11 PM. Look for the stalls and vibrant atmosphere as you approach.

  • Songthaew

    From anywhere in the city, you can catch a red songthaew (shared taxi) that goes to Wua Lai Walking Street. Just tell the driver 'Wua Lai' or 'Walking Street.' Most drivers will know where it is, especially on Saturday evenings. The fare is usually around 20-40 THB per person. The songthaew will drop you off close to the beginning of the street market.

  • Tuk-tuk
