Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from the Old City, head south towards the intersection at Thapae Road. Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto Thapae Road and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit to stay on Thapae Road. Continue straight for about 1 km until you see the junction with Suthep Road. Turn right onto Suthep Road, then continue for about 2 km. Look for the sign for Wat Umong on your left, which is a well-known landmark. Baan Kang Wat is located just a short walk from the temple. Enter Soi Wat Umong and follow the signs to Baan Kang Wat, which is about 500 meters down the road.

Public Transport
From the Old City, head to the nearest red songthaew (shared taxi) stop. You can catch a songthaew heading to the Suthep area. Inform the driver that you want to go to Wat Umong. The fare is usually around 30-40 THB. Once you arrive at Wat Umong, exit the songthaew and walk down Soi Wat Umong. Baan Kang Wat is about a 10-minute walk from the temple, so follow the signs or ask locals if you need directions.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in the Old City. Head south on Ratchadamnoen Road and turn left onto Thapae Road. Follow the same route as if you were walking, taking a right onto Suthep Road. After about 2 km, you will see Wat Umong on your left. Park your bicycle there and walk down Soi Wat Umong for about 500 meters to reach Baan Kang Wat.
