Nui Bay: A Tropical Paradise in Ko Lanta

Getting There

• Car Rental

  If you're driving from anywhere in Koh Lanta, the easiest way to reach Nui Bay is to head south on Route 4206. Continue straight for approximately 10 kilometers. You will pass through several local villages and beautiful scenery. Once you reach the southern part of the island, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Ao Nui Bay. Turn off the main road when you see the sign for 'Nui Bay' and follow the narrow road down towards the beach. Parking is available near the entrance.

• Songthaew (Shared Taxi)

  To take a Songthaew from your location in Koh Lanta, find the nearest Songthaew stop or flag one down on the road. Inform the driver that you're going to Nui Bay (Ao Nui Bay). The fare will likely be around 50-100 THB, depending on your starting point. The driver will drop you off at the closest point to Nui Bay. From there, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the beach, as the road leading directly to the beach can be narrow and may not accommodate larger vehicles.

• Motorbike Rental

  For a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike. You can rent one from various shops in Koh Lanta for about 200-300 THB per day. Once you have your motorbike, head south on Route 4206. Follow the same directions as for car rental. The road can be steep and winding in some areas, so be cautious, especially if you're not experienced with riding a motorbike. There is parking available near the beach.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you're up for some exercise, renting a bicycle is another option. Various shops offer bicycle rentals for around 100-200 THB per day. Take the same Route 4206, but be prepared for some hills. The ride will take longer, but you can enjoy the scenery along the way. Once you reach the sign for Nui Bay, park your bicycle and walk down the path toward the beach.
