From the center of Mae Hong Son, head towards the Mae Hong Son Market located near the clock tower. Once you reach the market, ask locals for directions to the main road leading to Pai. Walk towards Highway 1095, which is about a 20-minute walk from the market. You can also take a tuk-tuk from the market to the junction of Highway 1095 for a quicker option. When you reach Highway 1095, head north towards Pang Mapha. The distance to Pha Mon Cave is approximately 46 kilometers. You may need to take a local bus or songthaew (shared taxi) from the junction. These usually leave from the bus station next to the market. Confirm with the driver that they are heading to Pang Mapha and let them know you want to stop at Pha Mon Cave. The ride should take about an hour. Once you arrive at the Pha Mon Cave entrance, follow the signs leading to the cave.

Public Transportation (Bus/Songthaew)
Start at the Mae Hong Son Bus Station, which is located near the center of Mae Hong Son. Take a bus or songthaew heading towards Pai. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Pha Mon Cave. The journey will take approximately 1.5 hours as it is 46 km away via Highway 1095. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Pha Mon Cave, as the bus will drop you off at the nearest point to the cave entrance. From there, you will need to walk a short distance, following the signs to the cave.
