Doi Daeng Viewpoint: A Breathtaking Scenic Escape

Getting There

• Car

  To reach Doi Daeng Viewpoint by car, start from Sukhothai town. Drive north on Highway 1 (Phahonyothin Road) for approximately 45 kilometers until you reach Si Satchanalai District. Once in Si Satchanalai, look for signs directing you to Mae Sin. Turn onto Route 1013, which leads to Mae Sin. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers until you arrive at PQPF+6PP, where Doi Daeng Viewpoint is located. Make sure to have a GPS or a map app for detailed navigation, as some signs may be limited. Parking is available near the viewpoint.

• Public Transportation

  From Sukhothai, you can take a bus or a minivan to Si Satchanalai using the local bus terminal. Buses to Si Satchanalai run frequently, and the fare is approximately 30-50 THB (Thai Baht). Once you arrive in Si Satchanalai, you can hire a songthaew (shared taxi) to take you to Mae Sin for about 200-300 THB. Ask the driver to drop you off at PQPF+6PP, which is the approximate location of Doi Daeng Viewpoint. Be aware that public transport may not run very late in the day, so plan accordingly.

• Motorbike Rental

  For a more adventurous trip, consider renting a motorbike in Sukhothai. Rentals typically cost between 150-300 THB per day. After securing a motorbike, follow the same route as driving by car. Head north on Highway 1, then take Route 1013 towards Mae Sin. The journey will give you the freedom to explore the area at your own pace. Ensure you have a valid driver's license and wear a helmet for safety.
