From Rayong city center, head to the Rayong Bus Station (สถานีขนส่งผู้โดยสารระยอง) located on Sukhumvit Road. Look for buses heading to Ban Phe (บ้านเพ). The fare is usually around 30-50 THB. The journey takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Ban Phe Bus Station, exit and head towards the pier (ท่าเรือบ้านเพ), which is about a 10-minute walk.

At the Ban Phe pier, purchase a ticket for a ferry to Ko Samet (เกาะเสม็ด). The ferries operate regularly, with departures approximately every 30 minutes. The ticket price is around 100-200 THB, and the ferry ride takes about 30 minutes to reach Ko Samet.

Upon reaching Ko Samet, you can take a songthaew (shared pick-up truck) from the pier to Khao Laem Ya–Mu Ko Samet National Park. The journey will take around 15-20 minutes and costs around 50-100 THB, depending on your negotiation skills. Ensure to inform the driver to drop you off at the national park entrance.
