Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car from the Similan Islands, you will first need to take a boat back to the mainland at Thap Lamu Pier. The boat ride typically takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at Thap Lamu Pier, get onto Phet Kasem Road (Route 4) heading south. Continue driving for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach Khuekkhak in Takua Pa District. Look for signs directing you to Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, which is located on your left side at หมู่ที่ 7 Phet Kasem Rd, Khuekkhak, Takua Pa District, Phang-nga 82210. The park entrance fee is around 200 THB for adults and 100 THB for children.

Public Transportation
From the Similan Islands, first take a boat to Thap Lamu Pier, which takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. After arriving at Thap Lamu, you can catch a local bus or minivan heading towards Khao Lak. Buses run regularly and the fare is typically around 150-200 THB. Request the driver to drop you off at the entrance of Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, which is located along Phet Kasem Road in Khuekkhak. Be aware that the last bus may leave in the early evening, so plan accordingly. Once you arrive, you will need to pay the entrance fee of around 200 THB for adults.

After taking a boat back to Thap Lamu Pier, you can hire a taxi to take you directly to Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park. The taxi ride is approximately 30 kilometers and will take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey; it should be around 600-800 THB. Once you arrive at the national park entrance, be prepared to pay the entrance fee of about 200 THB for adults.
