If you are starting from the Udon Thani bus station, exit the station and head southeast on Phosri Road. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Srisaket Road. Turn left onto Srisaket Road and walk for another 700 meters. You will come to a roundabout; take the second exit to stay on Srisaket Road. Continue for about 300 meters and you will see the City Pillar Shrine (San Lak Mueang) on your right, just before the intersection with Thahan Road.

Find a tuk tuk at the nearest tuk tuk stand or flag one down on the street. Tell the driver 'San Lak Mueang' or 'City Pillar Shrine.' The driver will take you directly to the shrine, which is approximately a 10-minute ride from the bus station, depending on traffic.

Songthaew (shared taxi)
Locate a songthaew (red truck taxi) near your current location. Ask the driver to take you to 'San Lak Mueang' or 'City Pillar Shrine.' The fare is usually quite affordable, and it should take around 15-20 minutes to reach the shrine. The songthaew will drop you off close to the shrine entrance.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer to explore on a bicycle, rent one from a nearby shop. From Udon Thani city center, cycle southeast on Phosri Road, then turn left onto Srisaket Road. Keep cycling straight until you reach the roundabout; take the second exit to stay on Srisaket Road. Continue cycling for about 1 kilometer, and you will see the City Pillar Shrine on your right.
