Car
If you are driving from Krabi, take Route 4 (Phetkasem Road) heading south. Continue for about 90 km until you reach the town of Trang. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Trang as you approach the area.
Bus
From Krabi, you can take a bus to Trang. Head to the Krabi Bus Terminal and look for buses heading to Trang. The bus ride typically takes about 2.5 to 3 hours and costs around 150-200 THB. Buses leave frequently throughout the day, but it's best to check the schedule in advance.
Train
If you're coming from Surat Thani or Bangkok, you can take a train to Trang. First, take a train from Surat Thani or Bangkok to the nearest train station that services Trang, which is the Trang Railway Station. The train ride from Surat Thani to Trang takes around 5-6 hours and costs approximately 200-500 THB depending on the class of the seat. Once you arrive at the Trang Railway Station, you can take a taxi or a local songthaew (shared pickup truck) to your accommodation in Trang.
Local Transportation
Once you are in Trang, local transportation options include tuk-tuks, songthaews, and taxis. Songthaews are a popular and inexpensive way to get around the city and to nearby attractions. They typically cost between 20-50 THB depending on the distance.
