Getting There

    If you are in the center of Banjul, start at the Arch 22 monument. From there, head east along Liberation Avenue. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the main intersection at the Banjul Market. Cross the road and head south towards the waterfront, keeping the market on your left. After about 300 meters, you will see the National Museum of The Gambia on your right, just past the main police station.

    If you are near the ferry terminal, exit the terminal and turn left onto the main road, Kairaba Avenue. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer. You will pass several shops and small eateries. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Liberation Avenue. Turn right onto Liberation Avenue and continue walking for about 400 meters. The National Museum of The Gambia will be on your left, just past the intersection with the street leading to the ferry terminal.

    From the Banjul International Airport, take a taxi to the ferry terminal, which is about a 30-minute drive. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, exit and turn left onto the main road, Kairaba Avenue. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer. You'll see local shops and stalls along the way. At the intersection with Liberation Avenue, turn right and continue for 400 meters until you see the National Museum of The Gambia on your left.
