If you're traveling by car from Jokadu to Independence Square in Banjul, start by heading southeast on the main road. Continue along the road for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction for Banjul. Turn left onto the road leading into Banjul and follow the signs towards the city center. As you approach the city, look for signs indicating Independence Square, which is located at the address FC3G+P8J. There is limited parking available nearby, so be prepared to find a spot on the street or in a nearby parking lot.

Public Transportation (Bus)
For those using public transport, locate the nearest bus station in Jokadu. Board any bus heading towards Banjul. The ride may take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Inform the driver or the conductor that you wish to get off at Independence Square. The bus will drop you off near the center, from where you can see the square. A bus ticket typically costs around 20 Dalasi, but keep some coins for any potential fare changes.

Public Transportation (Taxi)
You can also take a taxi from Jokadu to Independence Square. Flag down a taxi or call a local taxi service. Ensure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey, as taxis in the Gambia do not have meters. The cost should be around 1,000-1,500 Dalasi for a one-way trip. The taxi will take you directly to Independence Square, which is located at FC3G+P8J, Banjul.
